Indianapolis, IN. Technically it’s Saturday, put my I work 5pm to 2am, s o my shift gets to wear my casual Friday clothes on Saturday.

This office  is CRAZY!!! WOOOOO!!!!

Work is my most frequently oppo’ed from place. My second monitor primarily is for Oppo most days . Although Oppoing from home tonight means I get to do so with a glass of S cotch on the desk.

I would Oppo from work more often, but I am trying to make a good impression si nce I am the newest supervisor and the last 2 people in my position both got fired for sucking.

I live and work really close to the airport.

I am not sure how it actually works but on my way home, which is in Indianapolis, from work, which is also in Indianapolis, I drive past the “Welcome to Plainfield” sign.

Also, the Jimmy John’s in Indianapolis and Plainfield don’t deliver to my house, but the one in Avon does.

The airport clearly introduced some spac ial wormhole when they reoriented it. I don’t have the heart to tell the sad tale of my grandmother’s home at the moment but I’ll see if I can’t find an old comment about it.

I used to be on Oppo at work all the time. Now the warning every time I log in “This Information System is p roperty of the US Government. All activity is logged and there is no expectation of privacy.  Illegal usage will be prosecuted. Etc etc” has me severely limiting it.  Unsurprisingly I’m getting more actual work done.

Understandable. I wouldn’t from a federal job, but the University isn’t too concerned about it.

There are plenty of people I work with who seem to screw off half the day surfing the web, shopping online and  watching YouTube videos that aren’t workplace appropriate. Nobody really seems to care but if shit ever hits the fan I don’t want it in my history.
